MELBOURNE, Jan 1 AAP - A detention centre chaplain has called for a more reasoned responseto the string of deliberately lit blazes at detention centres across Australia.

Peter Norden, the Catholic chaplain at Melbourne's Maribyrnong Detention Centre, saidthe unrest was borne out of the sheer frustration felt by long-term detainees.
